I Promise Myself

I Promise Myself:

To eat nutritious foods and get enough sleep and regular exercise - not because I hate my body, but instead, because I love and respect myself.

To commit to my mental, physical and emotional wellbeing.

To find balance and equanimity.

To never underestimate my value.

To recognize and cultivate my unique talents and gifts.

To honor my quirks and weirdness.

To use my voice to stand up for myself and those who’ve been mistreated.

To never allow anyone to make me feel inadequate or forget my own worth.

To establish clear boundaries as kindly as possible, and remember that people will treat me however I allow them to.

To be loving and compassionate towards myself, as well as others.

To honor all forms of life.

To be forgiving, but to learn from past mistakes.

To never compromise my integrity.

To seek Truth.

To consider all perspectives with an open mind.

To keep my pride and ego in check.

To use my platform to uplift others.

To offer help when I can.

To graciously accept help when I could use it.

To remain humble at my highest heights, and hopeful at my lowest lows.

To challenge myself to keep learning and growing, in order to reach my fullest potential.

To teach when I learn, and to give when I receive.

To create the things I wish existed.

To respond, rather than react.

To be aware of (and responsible for) the energy that I carry.

To be slow to anger, but quick to forgive.

To hold myself accountable for my own happiness.

To apologize and learn from my mistakes.

To try not to take anything personally.

To seek to understand.

To maintain a “beginner’s mind”.

To try to find the goodness in myself and in every living being, even when it’s hard.

To spend quality time with myself alone daily, even if only for a few minutes.

To continue to get to know myself better, and regularly check in with my wants & needs.

To always consider myself as my own best friend.

To face and overcome my fears and insecurities.

To feel and process my feelings, instead of denying or burying them.

To work on healing personal and collective trauma.

To practice non-attachment and remember the impermanence of everything.

To live in a constant state of awe and gratitude.

To appreciate the beauty and wisdom of nature.

To practice patience.

To remind myself daily, that there is something worthwhile in me... and then to help remind others that there is something worthwhile in them.

To hope for the best but be prepared for the worst.

To be just as enthusiastic about the success of others as I am about my own.

To be mindful of my thoughts, actions and words.

To listen intently and offer my full attention in the presence of others.

To be authentic and only say what I mean.

To spread joy and defuse hate.

To find every opportunity to increase peace and decrease suffering.

To never give up on myself or humanity.

To remember that separation is an illusion.

To faithfully live in service of a Higher Power, and to use my life to reflect it’s grace and goodness.

To always let Love lead the way.

❤️
